Music professionals from all over the world gather next week in Groningen at the Eurosonic Noorderslag (ESNS) showcase festival. Their goal? Discovering new talent. From 16 to 19 January the stage is reserved for Belgian artists.
Eurosonic Noorderslag is the European Music Platform with a track record for helping new acts break into the international music scene. By night, during two showcase festivals (Eurosonic and Noorderslag), musical talent has the chance to present itself to an international audience of music lovers and professionals. Wallonie-Bruxelles Musiques, Flanders Arts Institute & Sabam for Culture team up under the flag of Belgium Booms to support a ton of upcoming Belgian acts.
blackwave., Blu Samu, Borokov Borokov, Brides Of Lucifer, De Beren Gieren, DVTCH NORRIS, ESINAM, Glass Museum, Go March, MDC III, Phoenician Drive, Portland, SHHT., Sonnfjord, Sons, STIKSTOF, the trio Wannes Cappelle, broeder Dieleman & Frans Grapperhaus, Warhola, Whispering Sons and Yellowstraps will perform a showcase at this edition.

Eurosonic Noorderslag (ESNS) is a non-profit, European artist only, 100% showcase festival and music conference. Selling out each year ESNS attracts over 4.000 professional delegates, including 400 international festivals, and showcases around 350 European artists for over 40.000 visitors total. Eurosonic is the stepping stone for European acts, taking place in the city centre of Groningen. Noorderslag presents the best Dutch music and takes place in concert venue De Oosterpoort in Groningen. By day an international music conference takes place, the key exchange and networking platform for European music.
Music Moves Europe Talent Award
The hiphop duo blackwave. will receive the Music Moves Talent Award in the hiphop category at the opening night of ESNS. The Music Moves Europe Talent Awards celebrate the emerging artists who represent the European sound of today and tomorrow. Every year, outstanding artists receive a Music Moves Europe Talent Award in recognition of their international success, as well as being rewarded with a performance at ESNS, a training programme and financial support for touring and promotion.
